Each year, artists from Serious’ Take Five programme – supporting the UK’s most exciting jazz and improvising artists – are showcased with a performance at the EFG London Jazz Festival.
Marysia Osu is a Polish-born, London-based harpist, producer and composer who blends classical, ambient, and electronic music. Her debut album, harp, beats & dreams, explores themes of philosophy, dreams, and the interplay between the conscious and unconscious mind. Fully self-produced and home-made, it documents her evolution as a solo composer and producer.
Ghana-born, Manchester-raised Rory A. Green crafts a mesmerising sonic tapestry that bridges jazz sophistication with folk intimacy. Drawing from his dual English and West African heritage, Green’s guitar work transcends cultural boundaries with remarkable fluidity, earning recognition for his distinctive conversational style.
For two decades, Take Five has been a vital launchpad for mid-career musicians, offering an artistic residency, industry upskilling, mentorship and a wider network of musicians and industry professionals alike.
