EFG London Jazz Festival X STEREO Presents Paris Monster

Paris Monster is an indie experimental duo formed in 2012 out of Brooklyn, New York. The band consists of:

Josh Dion: who handles vocals, drums, and keyboard, often simultaneously.

Geoff Kraly: who plays bass and modular synth.

This unique setup allows them to create a remarkably full sound for a duo, often giving the impression of a larger band. They combine soulful vocals with fuzzed-out bass, grinding synth, and sparse, linear drumming.

Paris Monster's music is characterized as beat-driven and groove-based, incorporating elements of funk, soul, synth-pop, and garage sounds. According to Music Gateway, their sound blends synthesized elements with an old-school grit, and has been described as "dirty, glitchy, lyric-centered, groove-based".
