Almanaque: A Celebration of Jazz, Brazilian Rhythms & African Influences

Almanaque’s debut album, Nada para o Carnaval (Nothing Stops the Carnival), released on Ubuntu Music, is a vibrant fusion of jazz, Brazilian rhythms, and African influences, creating a sound that is both captivating and uplifting. Inspired by Afro-Brazilian legend Milton Nascimento, the band’s live performances radiate joy and a desire to “find something to celebrate and appreciate in this world.”

With an impressive collective résumé, the members of Almanaque have shared the stage with world-class artists such as Kyle Eastwood, Omar, Heidi Vogel, Emilia Mårtensson, Antonio Forcione, and Adriano Adewale. Their music has graced renowned festivals and venues across the globe. In the UK, audiences have been enthralled by Almanaque at iconic spaces including Ronnie Scott’s, Ninety One, and the Metronome Jazz Bar in Chester. Across Europe, they’ve brought their infectious energy to celebrated venues like Cantine de l’Arena and Vapore in Italy, and Pyke’s in Ibiza.

Dynamic, passionate, and irresistibly joyful, Almanaque’s performances are a true celebration of life, music, and rhythm.
