


Carpenters Workshop Gallery is pleased to present an artist talk and book signing to celebrate the release of Robert Stilin’s second book, Robert Stilin: New Work. In this book, he brings the signature elements of his aesthetic—strong, clean lines, warm, rich palette, antique and vintage furnishings, and custom upholstery, combined with modern and contemporary art—to projects all over the US. Moderated by Julien Lombrail, co-founder of Carpenters Workshop Gallery, the talk will explore topics exploring Robert’s career to date and the importance of living with design.
Robert Stilin is known for effortlessly combining crisp, clean architecture with custom upholstery, antique and vintage furniture and modern and contemporary art to create casually elegant homes that are warm, comfortable and very livable. With over 25 years of experience running his own design firm, the New York and Hamptons based designer has built a reputation as a highly versatile interior designer whose classically modern work is custom tailored to the needs of each client and project.His portfolio includes Fifth Avenue and West Village penthouses, oceanfront homes in the Hamptons and South Florida, and residences and offices across the country. Stilin’s work has been widely featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and numerous international publications. A regular participant in prestigious showhouses, he has been named to Elle Décor’s A-List annually since 2010 and to the AD100 since 2016.
