Grimm Grimm + Dana Gavanski at Rich Mix

Grimm Grimm is the musical project of London-based composer, recording artist, and producer Koichi Yamanoha, originally from West Tokyo, Japan. His music blends experimental pop elements with futuristic lyricism, weaving music box–like, timeless melodies with ethereal soundscapes and electric textures.

He has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, producers, and labels—including ATP Recordings, Café Oto, Josephine Foster, Laetitia Sadier, Marta Salogni, Bo Ningen, Eiko Ishibashi, Klein, and Hideo Kojima—through which his work has become firmly rooted in the experimental and avant-garde music scenes, as well as in the worlds of film and video game soundtracks. His music appears in the PlayStation 5 sci-fi game Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, contributing both tracks and a character to the game.

For this special album launch performance, Grimm Grimm will play tracks from the video game and his new album Eternalise, appearing as a trio alongside Paz Maddio and Jem Doulton (the Thurston Moore Group).

Born in Vancouver, to a Serbian family, but relocating to Montreal to attend university, Dana Gavanski originally planned to pursue a career in film. However, following a chance encounter with a guitar left in her apartment by an ex boyfriend, Dana’s attention turned to music. In 2019, Dana signed with Full Time Hobby and released her debut-album “Yesterday Is Gone” in March 2020, where it received critical acclaim and (further) support from BBC 6 Music. “Late Slap”, released in April 2024, is Dana’s third album and deals with themes of the tension between cynicism and despair, and openness and trust. A record where Dana found her true sound.
