Zement / The Cutter / Exchampion

Zement is an experimental psych-rock trio formed by multi-instrumentalists Philipp Hager, Christian Büdel, and Florian Helleken. Their sound fuses neo-krautrock grooves, psychedelia, noise rock, free jazz, and contemporary electronic dance elements into a hypnotic, high-energy mix. Motorik rhythms, swirling synths, fuzzy guitars, cosmic sax, and surreal vocals collide to create music that feels both nostalgic and futuristic — equally made for dancing, drifting, or losing yourself in the noise. With releases on Berlin’s Crazysane Records and constant touring across Europe and the UK, they’ve earned a reputation as one of Germany’s most exciting live acts, sharing stages with Russian Circles, Slift, and Minami Deutsch. A new, heavier and fuzz-drenched album is on the way.

Manchester’s The Cutter channel the spirit of New Order and Cocteau Twins, blending goth, shoegaze, and electronica into dark yet melodic soundscapes driven by atmospheric guitars, pulsing drum machines, deep vocals, and booming synths.

Opening the night, Münster drummer Exchampion delivers fluid, high-tempo, rhythm-focused sets full of precision and drive, while his BK1182 alias explores a more experimental, ambient side — textured, meditative, and emotionally raw.
