PRIMITIVE MAN return with Observance, their most crushing and introspective release to date. Across six obsessive, trance-inducing tracks, the band confronts personal collapse and a broken social contract, channeling rage, sadness, and grim clarity into a record that remains brutally heavy yet strangely hopeful. Recorded in Chicago with Andy Nelson and mastered by Arthur Rizk, Observance marks a darker, more reflective evolution without loosening their grip on sheer weight.
Sharing the bill, Kollaps operate at the edge of endurance. Now based in Iceland, the project delivers confrontational live performances built from industrial detritus, ruptured electronics, and morgue-derived instruments used as functional sound tools rather than symbols. With appearances at festivals like Roadburn and Roskilde, Kollaps reject nostalgia in favor of excavation—documenting violence, decay, and the raw mechanics of the body when civility is stripped away.
Ira funestas pure sludge-meets-catharsis: a raw mix of crushing heaviness, noise, and melancholic rage. Heavily inspired by the likes of Neurosis, Amenra, and Thou, the music is a visceral, low-tuned journey through darkness and emotional release.
