Joe Mansfield & the Temperance Two are a Bristol-based trio bringing high-energy Appalachian folk to modern stages. With fiddle, guitar and clawhammer banjo at the core, their sound is driven by hypnotic rhythms, tight interplay and rich storytelling.

After honing their craft busking and hosting late-night sessions, they’ve gone on to support leading contemporary folk artists and sell out intimate venues like London’s Green Note. Their debut album First Time at a War captures the raw intensity of their live shows... bold, instinctive, and deeply rooted in tradition.
