For this edition of Grow Live, we bring together three artists moving through live performance and club culture in their own distinct ways, building a night that gradually unfolds before tipping fully into dance.
Franz Von headlines, a Jamaican-born, UK-based artist whose work bridges hip hop, afrofusion and live band energy. Known for his role in TC & The Groove Family and K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade, his sound pulls from African lineage through to modern club forms, delivered with real presence and control.
Opening the night, South African artist Michael Sebastian presents a live set ahead of his forthcoming album Suggestions for The Dancefloor and headline show at Village Underground. Blending electronic, jazz and global influences, his high-energy performances bring together live musicians, dancers and improvisation, creating a shared sense of movement and release shaped on stages from Green Man to Alexandra Palace.
Closing the night, Last Nubian moves things firmly into club territory. Raised on grime, garage, funky house and reggae, his sound draws on the roots of UK dance culture while pushing forward into house and broken beat. With releases on Touching Bass and Eglo Records, and support from Gilles Peterson and Pete Tong, his sets carry a deep, rhythmic drive built for the late hours.
A full journey from live to dancefloor. Come early, stay late.
