LIVE JAZZ JAM W/ STRATOS

Every Thursday, Stratos take over Grow for our long-running weekly Jazz Jam, a Hackney Wick fixture since 2016.

Led by Mercury Prize-nominated bassist Rio Kai, alongside Dom Pusey on saxophone, Mike De Souza on guitar and Zoe Pascal on drums, Stratos draw from jazz standards, their own compositions and whatever takes shape between them on the night. Improvisation has always been central to the session, so the music can head in unexpected directions.

This residency has now been running for over a decade, a milestone we celebrated in June 2026, marking ten years of weekly sessions, guest players and late-night improvisation.

After the opening set, the band invite musicians up to join them and the night opens into a full jam. Regular players mix with musicians dropping in for the first time, and from there the session can go anywhere.

Through autumn and winter, everything happens inside Grow, with the crowd close to the band and the room filling up as the night moves from Stratos' opening set into the jam.
