Rising Roots Festival

Since opening in 1996, and introducing a live music programme in 2011, The Bread and Roses has become a vital platform for emerging artists & and is now one of the few affordable cultural venues remaining in Clapham. In 2026, we celebrate 30 years as a community hub & 15 years as a live music venue. As part of our year-long festivities, we have created Rising Roots Festival - a multi-genre live music festival which, from Fri 19 - Sun 21 June, will feature 100 performers across 2 stages at The B&R. Rising Roots is not only a milestone celebration, but will also act as a catalyst for early-career musicians, particularly those based in South London.

This Grassroots Music Festival is set to pop off for the beginning of summer!
