Primrose Piano Quartet

Conway Hall regulars, the **Primrose Piano Quartet** close our spring season of concerts with a richly imaginative programme. Mozart’s dramatic *G minor Quartet* opens the concert, followed by a fascinating set of *Variations on an Air* by Robert Burns by four leading British composers, commissioned by the PPQ: John Casken, Sally Beamish, Jacques Cohen and Steve Goss. Purcell’s exquisite *Fantasias* for string trio provide a reflective interlude before Fauré’s passionate *C minor Quartet* brings the evening to a luminous and deeply moving close.
