Soultime brings its hard-swinging, groove-driven sound to Ladbroke Hall, London, for an unmissable night of contemporary jazz inspired by the golden era of American hard-bop. Led by trumpet player Steve Fishwick and pianist Leon Greening, this London-based quartet delivers music that is soulful, infectious and deeply rooted in the jazz tradition of the 1950s and 1960s.
Formed in 2022, Soultime draws inspiration from iconic figures of the hard-bop era including Bobby Timmons, Harold Mabern and Lee Morgan, reworking classic material while placing a strong emphasis on original compositions by its two leaders. The band’s sound balances fiery improvisation with deep swing, creating performances that feel both timeless and urgent.
Steve Fishwick and Leon Greening are internationally respected musicians who have built outstanding reputations performing with some of the world’s leading jazz artists. They are joined by bassist Matyas Hofecker and drummer Matt Home, two of the most in-demand rhythm section players on the UK jazz scene, whose energy and musical sensitivity bring the group’s sound fully to life.
Set within the striking surroundings of Ladbroke Hall in London, this performance promises an immersive live jazz experience in one of the capital’s most distinctive venues.
